Wildlife Fun in Kindy

At Staines Memorial College, we strive to offer our students engaging, faith-based learning experiences that help them explore the world around them through the lens of a Biblical worldview. This week, our Kindy students enjoyed a special visit from Geckoes Wildlife, giving them the opportunity to interact with some of Australia’s most unique creatures.

Throughout the week, students met:

  • Barry the Shingleback Lizard
  • Spike the Bearded Dragon
  • Donatello the Turtle
  • Rex the Perentie (the largest lizard in Australia)
  • Olive the Water Python
  • Crash the Squirrel-Glider
  • Blossom the Possum
  • Twiggy the Tawny Frogmouth
  • Sparkles the Frog
  • Frank the Crocodile

Each child had the opportunity to touch and learn about these creatures, making real-life connections to our learning about God’s creation and how we care for His world.

We are grateful to Geckoes Wildlife for bringing this hands-on experience to our college. At Staines, we believe in nurturing students who are not only academically capable but also caring stewards of God’s creation. To learn more about Geckoes Wildlife, visit their website.
