
Celebrating 20 Years - Our Journey
2005-2024

▶ 2005
Our journey began with just three staff members and 35 primary school students in a single building located in Springfield. Mrs Joy Robson was the Teacher in Charge.
▶ 2006
We introduced our Secondary cohort and built our second building, B Block.
▶ 2007
Our staff members had grown to eight, Mr Norton Sands was appointed as our first College Principal.
▶ 2008
We had growth across the College and built C Block.
▶ 2009
We reached a total number of 100 students, now offering 7-10 in Secondary.
▶ 2010
We reached a milestone of 100 primary students, celebrated 5 years as a College, relocated to our current site in Redbank Plains, and expanded with the addition of 3 new buildings.
▶ 2011
Our student body grew to 200 across both Primary and Secondary. The first level of our Secondary Learning Centre (SLC) was constructed, and we celebrated the graduation of our inaugural Year 12 cohort.
▶ 2012
Our enrolment reached 300 students, we held our Official College Opening Ceremony and welcomed Mr. Nick Makin as our Deputy Principal.
▶ 2013
We sent our first team on a mission trip to Nepal, and our primary school enrolment grew to 200 students.
▶ 2014
We built our oval, completed the Primary Learning Centre B1, and finished the next stage of our SLC. This also marked the first year that our Year 7 cohort transitioned to Secondary.
▶ 2015
We celebrated 10 years as a college, with our student body growing to over 400. During this time, we also built our Kindy facility.
▶ 2016
We hosted our very first IMPACT event, built an additional primary building, and completed the final stage of our Secondary Learning Centre.
▶ 2017
After five years of having a Year 12 cohort, we proudly celebrated our 100th student graduating from the college.
▶ 2018
We reached the significant milestone of 500 students. This year also marked our college’s first participation in Wakakirri. Additionally, we completed the construction of our Community Hub and Primary Sports Centre.
▶ 2019
Our primary school enrolment grew to 300 students, with over 200 in secondary. We completed the second stage of PLC-B and celebrated another milestone with our Primary school’s first musical production, “Pirates of the Curry Bean.”
▶ 2020
We celebrated 15 years as a college and welcomed Mr. Nick Makin as our newly appointed College Principal.
▶ 2021
Our student body exceeded 600, we completed our Art Precinct, and our Secondary musical, “The Little Mermaid, ”was a resounding success.
▶ 2022
We celebrated our 200th student graduating from SMC, began construction on the final stage of PLC- A, and proudly joined the GBC sports competition.
▶ 2023
We added four additional classrooms to PLC-A, held our very first Kindy Open Day, and staged a wonderful Primary school musical, “The Lion King Jr.”
▶ 2024
Work started on our outdoor basketball courts, and front car park. Over 270 students have now graduated Year 12 from our College.

Apply to Enrol
Once the College has reviewed your application, we will schedule an enrolment interview with the relevant College staff. We will also arrange for your child to participate in Literacy and Numeracy testing.
