Guest Speaker - Shane Yarrow shares story on forced adoption

Some of our Year 10 students had the opportunity this week to hear from Shane Yarrow, who shared his personal story of being separated from his mother through forced adoption in Australia. Decades later, Shane was reunited with his mum, a powerful and emotional journey he openly shared with the class.

His visit aligned with our current studies on Australian history, including government policies that led to the Stolen Generations. Students reflected on how we, as a nation, can move forward with honesty and compassion by acknowledging historical wrongs and committing to doing better.

A big think you to Shane for helping our students connect their learning to real-life experiences!
