Primary Assembly
Term 1, Week 9
Today’s Assembly held particular significance as it coincided with Harmony Day. Students showcased their diverse cultural backgrounds by dressing in traditional attire.
Mrs. Reid delivered today’s devotion centred on the theme of ‘Love and Kindness’. As part of the devotion, she assigned a couple of Prep students the task of building a catapult. Recognising the difficulty, some Year 6 students graciously stepped in to assist. Mrs. Reid concluded by emphasising that such acts exemplify the essence of love and kindness: helping others in times of need.
To see the outcome of our students’ efforts in constructing a working catapult, watch the video below.

A highlight for the day was Blair in Year 5 being announced age champion for 10 Years Boys. Well done Blair!

Principal’s Message
Devotion – Take Control of the Small Things
Can you imagine being uprooted from your home and taken prisoner to a hostile country? It happened to Daniel. King Nebuchadnezzar conquered his homeland and carried him off to slavery in Babylon. He lost his house, his job, his freedom, his culture, his friends, and his status as a member of Israel’s nobility. He had to learn to speak a foreign language and live in a place where he didn’t want to be.
