Tuesday Bible Study
Each Tuesday afternoon, a dedicated group of Secondary students gathers for Bible Study, led by Sunny and Mr. de Graaf.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services visited Staines Memorial College this week to educate our Year 1 students on fire safety.
Inside the classroom, the firefighters engaged the young learners in interactive sessions, imparting essential survival techniques like “stop, drop, and roll” and “get down low and go, go, go.” In addition, the students practised projecting their voices to alert firefighters in case of emergency and saw our fire fighter dressed up in full protective gear.
After their classroom lesson, our students went out to see the fire truck in action. Excitement filled the air as the students eagerly took turns operating the hose.

One day when Charles Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship, was scheduled to preach to three hundred inmates at San Quentin prison, a lockdown was called and most of the prisoners were confined to their cells. To the few who were allowed to attend, Colson decided to go ahead and give the complete message he had prepared.
On Wednesday, we held a non-uniform day to support the Year 12 Formal Fundraiser, with the theme “Dress to Impress.” We enjoyed a parade this morning, where everyone had the chance to showcase their creative costumes and outfits including some staff members! It was a great way to start to the day!
