GBC Primary
In the latest sporting action, our Year 3 & 4 team showcased their skills and teamwork on the netball court, securing a fantastic victory in their recent game against Sheldon College. With determination and flair, they outplayed their opponents, demonstrating true sportsmanship along the way.
Meanwhile, our Year 5 & 6 team displayed outstanding effort and sportsmanship in their recent match against TSAC. Although they didn’t secure a win, their commitment and skill were evident throughout the game, making us proud of their performance.
Our AFL teams had a weekend to rest due to the weather last week.
Congratulations to both teams for their outstanding efforts and representing our school with pride on the sports field. Let’s continue to support and celebrate the successes of all our athletes as they strive for greatness in their respective sports endeavours!
As we look forward to the upcoming weekend, we encourage all students and supporters to come out and cheer for our teams. Your presence and support make a significant difference, so let’s rally together and show our school spirit as we back our athletes to victory! Go team!
GBC Secondary
Last week SMC had the Bye round. We held some internal training for our basketball teams. Unfortunately, Volleyball training was unable to go ahead due to the wet weather last week.
Good luck to all teams.

Leadership Development
The GRIP Student Leadership Conference was a wonderful opportunity for our Primary Student Leaders to grow in their understanding of what it means to be a proactive leader in their school. Students engaged in fun activities, were challenged in their thinking, and encouraged in their gifting. They were given many opportunities to collaborate with other students to discuss the ways they could develop their leadership and respond to issues in their school community.

Devotion – What’s the most important thing to you?
‘My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me …’’ Acts 20:24 NIV
The story is told of Major Arthur Godfrey Peuchen, a wealthy Canadian man who survived the Titanic. After it struck the iceberg, he returned to his stateroom and, ignoring cash, jewellery, and other valuable possessions worth around $300,000, grabbed a favourite pearl pin and three oranges. Later, he was reported to have said, ‘The money seemed to be a mere mockery at that time.’ Circumstances transformed his values; tragedy clarified his priorities. The question is not, will your calendar be full, but who will fill it, and what will it be filled with?
