New Staff Member
Term 2, Week 2
Hi, I’m your new HPE Teacher, and I’m thrilled to be part of this community.
My journey into teaching took a bit of a scenic route. I spent ten years working at various Optus stores and eventually ended up managing Optus Caloundra. I then felt a strong pull to return to Ipswich and follow my passion for teaching. Along the way, I ventured into disability support, which was a rewarding experience, and later took on the role of Area Manager at Healthy Life Community Services.
I’ve been married to my wife Katie for seven wonderful years; she’s also a teacher. Together, we share a passion for education and making a positive impact. As an educator, I bring enthusiasm, resilience, great communication skills and strong leadership skills to the team.
In my downtime, you can find me enjoying a game of rugby league, soccer or playing board games with my friends.
I’m eager to collaborate with Staines Memorial College in delivering a distinctly Christian education and look forward to the meaningful journey ahead.

Devotion – Make an Impact
The men and women who made the greatest impact on the world were those who were totally focused and sold out to their vision. John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church, once said, ‘If I had three hundred men who feared nothing but God, hated nothing but sin, and were determined to know nothing among men but Jesus Christ and Him crucified, I would set the world on fire.’
ANZAC Day March
On Thursday, the 25th of April, we participated in our local community’s ANZAC Day commemoration. Our students marched, honoured the fallen, and placed a wreath during the memorial service. Lest we forget.
