GBC Primary

On Saturday our SMC Primary teams made the trip out to Sheldon College. Our 3/4 AFL team took on Sheldon. It was a very even and enjoyable game. Unfortunately, Sheldon came away with the win. Our 5/6 AFL team was faced with the challenge of playing two games back to back.  The team were up to the challenge by defeating TSAC in the first game. In the second game Sheldon played against a team brimming with confidence after their previous match, unfortunately Sheldon were too strong and won the match.

Our 3/4Netball team played with determination and skill against Redeemer Gold. The team showed fantastic team work and sportsmanship during the game. The 5/6 Netball team faced Redeemer Gold. In a hard fought game, the 5/6 team won. Well done team.

Tomorrow (16 March) brings our last round for the Term 1 season. Well done to all players and a massive thank you to our coaches and families who have come to support SMC teams this term.

GBC Secondary

In the face of stiff competition last week at Sheldon College, the SMC students demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination on the Basketball and Volleyball courts. While the results may not have been as victorious as anticipated, the spirit and sportsmanship exhibited by our athletes were truly commendable.

On the basketball court, our players exhibited impressive skill and determination, giving their all in every game. Despite challenging opponents, they maintained a positive attitude and showcased their passion for the sport, a testament to their pursuit of excellence.

Our volleyball teams displayed remarkable grit and determination against Sheldon. Despite the challenges they encountered, they approached each set with a positive mindset and gave it their all until the very end. Their perseverance and sportsmanship were truly commendable.

It’s important to acknowledge the efforts of our students beyond the results, recognising their willingness to learn, grow, and represent our college with pride. As educators and supporters, let’s continue to motivate our athletes to pursue their passions, tackle challenges head-on, and always strive for their best.
