Minecraft, Medals, and a Masked Guest

This week our Assemblies were anything but ordinary—and we loved every minute of them!

We kicked things off by celebrating the incredible efforts of our students at the recent Cross Country Carnival. It was fantastic to see our students’ perseverance and team spirit recognised during our awards ceremony.

Then, Mrs Dunne brought a fresh perspective in her address—one that sparked a lot of thought and a few smiles. Drawing a creative connection between Minecraft, its upcoming movie, and the story of God’s creation. She spoke about the intentionality and creativity players use to build their Minecraft worlds, linking this to the way God designed our world with purpose and love, as seen in Genesis 1. Just as broken things can be rebuilt in the game, she reminded students that God is always at work restoring His creation, including us. Her message encouraged us to see our creativity as a reflection of our Creator, and to bring beauty, care, and hope into the world around us.

But the biggest surprise? A dramatic entrance from none other than Darth Vader himself! His mission? Not galactic domination, but something even better—promoting our Star Wars Fundraiser happening on 6th May. There was plenty of laughter and excitement as our very own Sith Lord made his way through the crowd, encouraging students to get involved and support a great cause.

May the Force be with us on 6th May!

20th Anniversary Dinner

20th Anniversary Dinner

What a wonderful evening we had as we gathered for our 20th Anniversary Dinner last night!

It was a true blessing to be joined by past Principals, long-serving staff, and faithful supporters who have each played a part in the Staines story over the past two decades. Together, we shared memories, laughter, and reflections on the journey God has taken us on—from humble beginnings to the thriving community we are today.
