As a Christian private school, we place a strong emphasis on global awareness and multicultural education. Our recent visit has been a wonderful opportunity to deepen our students' appreciation of Japanese culture. Over the past 2 weeks, our Japanese guests have engaged our students in a variety of activities, including traditional art and crafts, spinning widgets, and juggling, offering a fun and interactive learning experience.

Over the past two weeks, our Japanese guests have engaged our students in a variety of activities, including traditional art and crafts, spinning widgets, and juggling, offering a fun and interactive learning experience.

The ongoing visit from the twenty exchange students is a highlight at Staines Memorial College, reflecting our dedication to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. Our students have been thoroughly captivated by the Japanese cultural demonstrations and have eagerly participated in every activity. This cultural exchange not only expands their horizons but also reinforces the values of respect and curiosity that are central to our Christian education.

FUSE CUP WIN

Our Year 7 students did us proud at the Junior Secondary FUSE Cup – Just Dance tournament.

Staines secured first place in the Ipswich Division Grand Final and have advanced to the State finals later this year.

Akuol claimed the top spot for individual dancing in the Ipswich Division, while Lucas took second place.

Secondary Students Love Chicken Club

At Staines Memorial College, we are committed to providing students with a well-rounded education.

This week, our secondary students had the opportunity to learn hands-on skills by taking care of our new show chickens. They fed the them, cleaned their living area, and administered de-worming pills.

We are excited to announce that we will showcase our chickens at the Ekka this year. Our students will set up the display and interact with visitors.

Under 8’s Day

The day started with a costume parade where our students proudly displayed their costumes to parents, teachers and other students. Then, our students moved to the primary play area where there was slime, kinetic sand, bubbles, toys and so much more.
