Welcome to Staines
Our Mission
'To Provide a Distinctly Christian Education'
Our desire is to partner with families in providing a holistic education based on the Biblical worldview in which the hearts and minds of young people can grow and pursue their full potential for God.
Our Vision
Grow in Faith
For every student to pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and develop a Biblical Worldview through which they make sense of their world.
Grow in Learning
For every student to strive for their personal best and take ownership of their learning. For every student to achieve at least one year’s growth in learning every school year, regardless of their starting point.
Grow in Character
For every student to develop thoughtfulness, self-discipline, and personal responsibility, and demonstrate the lifelong character qualities of the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
The Staines Legacy
As a College, we seek to continue the ethos of the Staines family through providing holistic Christian education, and by developing a culture of service to others.
A Legacy of Service
Our College is named in honour of the Staines family. Graham Staines and his sons, Philip and Timothy were killed in 1999 serving God in the poor and rural areas of India. Gladys Staines and her daughter Esther continue to serve the Lord.
We are honoured to have Gladys Staines visit our college when she can. We recently interviewed Gladys to learn more of her story.

What does our community say?
My daughter loves her school and so proud to rep Staines.
Thanks Staines for allowing my daughter to attend such an amazing and warm place to learn.
Parent
Accommodating staff, very friendly and a wonderfully supportive learning environment for my child!
Parent
I can say that through my time here since year 4, I have received nothing but unconditional love and support from staff and teachers. I feel valued and respected here, and teachers go above and beyond to help students. I would definitely recommend this school. They really value our ideas and skills, and encourage us to do our best.
Past Student
I am both a parent and a teacher of Staines Memorial College. I have watched SMC grow from its infancy into an amazing school. As a parent I have watched the staff of this school nurture, encourage and inspire my three children to be the best they can be. I will watch with pride as my last child finishes grade 12 this year. As a staff member I can say that I have never worked with such a supportive and dedicated people ever before. The staff of Staines are here to educate and share their love of the Lord with your child. Sending your children to this school will give them a well rounded education and a solid understanding of what God wants for their future. I could not recommend SMC more highly it is a fantastic school.
Teacher/ Parent
My grandchildren attend Staines Memorial College, and we are very pleased with their progress. They have both received excellent academic results every year. In addition to this, we could not be more pleased with the emotional support they received from the kind and caring staff and school friends when the family experienced a major accident which has involved many ongoing medical interventions for a family member, over a two year period. The grandchildren are being encouraged in their faith and in caring for one another through life's difficulties.
