New Staff Member

In my early career, I worked as an accountant before retraining as a High School Business & Accounting teacher. I’ve spent the past six years at The Southport School, and prior to that, I worked as the Head of Year 9 & 10 at Calvary Christian College, Carbrook.

 

I’ve also completed my Masters in Guidance, Counselling & Careers. Working in the education sector has shown me how passionate I am about helping others discover their God-given abilities and make the best possible decisions for their career journeys.

 

I grew up with my parents and one younger brother in my family. Now I am married to Caleb, who works in the Welfare Team at the College. Together we have a son, who I look after when I’m not relief teaching.

 

My top three character strengths are Love, Social Intelligence, and Gratitude. I enjoy rich conversations and seeking to understand others’ perspectives as much as possible. I endeavour to always be thankful, looking for the good wherever I can. Those who know me well would also describe me as friendly, organised, and deliberate.

 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, finding op shop bargains, and engaging with podcasts, books, and documentaries on human behaviour and self-improvement.
